 Classroom Management
In order to keep our classroom running efficiently I plan on using whole group and individual behavior plans. The whole group behavioral system will promote teamwork by using marbles in two containers on my desk. The goal is to keep the marbles out of the black box and fill up the pink box. When the pink box is filled the class will receive a reward. Ways to earn marbles: if I see the majority of the class working on a task, lining up quickly and quietly, walking down the hall respectively, and so on. However, if I see behavior that doesn’t fit with our school/classroom expectations then I’ll take marbles from the pink and put them into the black. The number of marbles will depend on the situation at hand.

I'll manage individual behavior by using what I call Behavior Bucks. These will be copies of dollar bills that I will hand out and take away from students based on their choices/actions. Ways to earn bucks are: helping someone, getting an A on a test, following directions, etc. Ways to lose bucks are: not being prepared for class, interrupting the teacher, etc. This will also serve as a tool in helping the kids learn about money. Behavior Bucks will be related to Dojo points.
